Polishing: Unveiling the True Potential of Your Vehicle’s Paint

Polishing is a crucial step in the detailing process, delivering a dramatic difference in your paint’s appearance. Its objective is to eliminate imperfections in the clear coat that cause a dull look. Surface imperfections include swirls, scratches, water spots, etchings, industrial fallout, oxidation, and more. These imperfections fragment light, resulting in reduced gloss and depth. By removing them, you reveal the true potential of your vehicle’s paint.

A swirl mark is a thin and shallow scratch on the paint’s surface, often caused by improper washing and drying. Waxes, sealants, and most glazes cannot permanently remove these imperfections. At best, they temporarily hide them. To safely and permanently eliminate these imperfections, a multi-step polishing process is employed. It starts with a less aggressive polish and gradually incorporates more aggressive polishes as needed. The chemical polishing agents and/or polishing particles effectively remove these extremely fine imperfections.

This is paint refinement—the pinnacle of paint correction. During this step, we refine the vehicle’s paint to achieve the best possible appearance. Our goal is to correct and refine up to 90% of the defects present on the paint. If you desire a showroom shine, paint refinement is the way to go!
